The Proclaimers Research

To gain a better understanding of our audience and establish what I am working with, I have looked into similar artists of The Proclaimers. Here are some examples of artists I found:

1. Wet Wet Wet are a Scottish rock back that formed in 1980's.

2. The Pogues are a Celtic Rock (and Folk Punk) band from London, who formed in 1982. Their politically tinged music featured traditional Irish instruments such as the tin whistle, cittern, mandolin and the accordion.

 





3. R.E.M were an American rock band from Athens, Georgia, who formed in 1980. Their music genres included Alternative rock and College rock. By the early 1990s, when Alternative rock began toe experience mainstream success, R.E.M was viewed by subsequent acts such as Nirvana and Pavement as a pioneer of the genre.
